The 2007-08 Concert Season marks the 35th Anniversary of MYS and the 20th Anniversary of Co-Artistic Directors Claudette and Manny Laureano. In honor of these events, each of the Minnesota Youth Symphonies’ four orchestras is premiering original works by Minnesota composers.

Join us for an afternoon of exceptional music as the finalists in the MYS Symphony Solo Competition compete to play a solo onstage at Orchestra Hall. The winner of this competition will play with the Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Manny Laureano at our February 8th concert. This event is free and open to the public.

Concert tickets go on sale three weeks before each concert and are available by calling 651-699-5811. Tickets may also be purchased at Highland Park High School on the three Saturdays prior to each concert between 9:00am-12:00pm and in the lobby of Orchestra Hall on concert day and during dress rehearsals.

Reserved: Tier 1 only (all ages) $17 $20

There are no service charges for in-person transactions. There is a $2.50 service charge per transaction for all online, phone, fax or mail orders.

Group Sales. Prices for groups of 15 or more of a like type for general admission seating only are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students (up to age 18). Group rates are not available for reserved seating. Group rate tickets may be purchased by contacting the MYS office or on Saturday ticket sale days at Highland Park High School.

Teacher Ticket Offer

Private music teachers and public school music teachers may receive a complimentary ticket to any MYS concert at Orchestra Hall. Contact our office at 651-699-5811 or mys@mnyouthsymphonies.org to join the music teacher mailing list and to order tickets.

Children’s Concert Club

Nonprofit children’s organizations are eligible for reduced-rate tickets ($3 per child) to one MYS concert per season. This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce children to classical music performed by their peers, share a memorable experience in Orchestra Hall, one of the finest performance spaces in the United States, and receive complimentary music education booklet for each child.
