Sale Away! Announcing the 2011-12 Student Fundraiser

The MYS 2011-12 student fundraiser will have its official
kick-off at the first rehearsal of the season on September 10, but it’s never too early to start planning ahead!

Funds raised help MYS provide students and families with the highest level of orchestral training possible. Artistic costs directly related to your experience in MYS exceed $100,000 annually. This amount covers Minnesota Orchestra sectional coaches, rental fees for Orchestra Hall, the purchase and rental of music, the maintenance and purchase of instruments, facility use at Highland Junior High, and student scholarships. Your participation is vital for the success of MYS programs.

Fundraiser Overview
We have added a NEW option to the fundraiser this year! In the past we have relied solely on Wreath Sales, however this year we will be working with Premier Fundraising, which will provide re-usable coupon cards designed specifically for MYS families and patrons to sell in addition to, or in place of, wreaths.

Help Us Reach Our Goal
Participate in this year’s fundraiser by selling wreaths and/or re-useable coupons and help MYS reach our goal of raising $50,000 and achieving 100% student participation.

To reach this goal, we are asking each MYS family to sell at least $300 in product, by selling wreath products, coupon cards, or a combination of both. If you chose not to participate in the fundraiser, we ask that your family make a $100 donation.

Prizes
Top sellers will receive cash prizes, and every participant in the fundraiser has a chance to win prizes in our sweepstakes. Information about the fundraiser will be posted on the MYS website and at the first rehearsal students will receive their fundraising package. Start making your contact list now so you will be ready to sell!

Top Seller Qualifications
Top Overall Seller: $500 = $2,000 or more in sales
2nd Top overall Seller: $250 = $1,500 or more in sales
3rd Top overall Seller: $125 = $1,000 or more in sales

Top Seller in each Orchestra = minimum sales of $1,000
To qualify for sweepstakes entry = minimum sales of $300.

Complete fundraiser information will be included in music folders at the first rehearsal.
