Symphony Solo Competition
The stakes are high as MYS’ top musicians perform in a recital to determine the winner of the annual Symphony Solo Competition. The winner goes on to perform his or her concerto with the MYS Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Manny Laureano, at Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis. Open to Symphony students only.

Chamber Concert
MYS Chamber Concerts are an opportunity for MYS students to showcase their talent in small ensembles, duos and as soloists. The event takes place each spring in an intimate setting at St. Luke Lutheran Church in St. Paul.

Small Ensemble Referrals
MYS is frequently contacted to provide small ensemble music for public and private events. Students who have extra-curricular small ensembles can register with MYS to receive referrals. Contact Jenni Volby at jlvolby@mnyouthsymphonies.org for more information.
