MYS and GTCYS Perform at The League of American Orchestras Conference

MYS and GTCYS Symphony Orchestras will perform together at the 2011 League of American Orchestras Conference in Minneapolis. The combined orchestra will perform Verdi’s La Forza del Destino, conducted by Manny Laureano, and the fourth movement of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, conducted by Amir Kats. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Join the Minnesota Youth Symphonies for their final concert of the 2010-11 season on May 1, 2011 at Orchestra Hall. The concert will feature guest artist, violist George Taylor (Eastman School of Music), for a performance of Harold in Italy by Hector Berlioz with the MYS Symphony Orchestra. Other musical highlights include a performance of Wellington’s Victory by Beethoven and von Suppe’s Light Cavalry Overture.
