Summer Program Informal Concert

Join us for an informal presentation of our summer program students’ work. The Chamber Strings group under the direction of Pat Kelly will performa selection of String Orchestra music, and the Composition class will present their new works.
This event is free and open to the public.
Audition workshop

Come join MYS for a brief seminar on auditioning for an orchestra! This event is free and open to the public, and will cover the basics of how best to prepare for orchestra auditions and MYS auditions in particular. Led by the experienced MYS staff, you are sure to gain valuable insight and hopefully inject some calm into the anxiety-inducing audition process.
MYS Annual Picnic and Play-in

Join us for our annual, year-end MYS Picnic & Play-in! All current and past MYS students and families are welcome to join us for an afternoon of food, fun, and music.
Each conductor will be leading an open-session play-in, anyone who can play an orchestral instrument is welcome to join us as we sight-read exciting orchestral literature. Afterwards, join us for a social pot-luck picnic with presentations by MYS.

Noodles and Company Fundraising Lunch

MYS invites you to lunch at Noodles and Company, located at 2110 Ford Parkway in the Highland Park section of St. Paul. A portion of sales made between 11:00am and 3:00pm are donated to the MYS Instrument Fund. Registration is not necessary – just show up and order lunch!
