Minnesota Youth Symphonies Summer String Chamber Orchestra

Who: String Players (violin, viola, cello, bass)! While the camp is targeted towards 4th-8th grade students, high school students are welcome to sign up and will be placed in chamber groups with other students according to level. No audition is required.

Class Requirements: Level comparable to the middle of Suzuki (violin) book 2 through book 5. Students should be able to play and read notes on all four strings with at least the first two finger patterns. Must understand basic concepts such as dynamics, bowings and key signatures D, G, and C major, and be able to count and read rhythms.

When: June 21-25, Monday-Friday, 9am-3:00pm. Performance on Friday, June 25th.

Where: Messiah Episcopal Church, 1631 Ford Pkwy, St Paul, MN 55116. A limited number of virtual spots in this summer program are available.

Tuition: $350

If you have more than one child in the program, the second child's tuition will be 20% off.

Registration Deadline: May 28, 2021
