Work Credit & Scholarships
Tuition Work Credit Program
MYS offers two need-based Financial Assistance options:
MYS offers a Tuition Work Credit program in which students and their parents/guardians can earn tuition credit in exchange for assisting at MYS rehearsals, concerts, and other activities.
For those unable to participate in the Work Credit program, scholarships in the form of tuition discounts are also offered.
Donations to the Carissa Hayen Memorial Scholarship Fund provide some of the financial support for our Tuition Work Credit Program.
The Mary West Memorial String Scholarship
The Mary West Memorial String Scholarship is an annual award given to a deserving string student.
The scholarship award is $500 and may be used for private violin, viola, cello or bass instruction, music camps, or other pursuits that will give the student a continuing education in music. The scholarship will be awarded at the final concert of the MYS season.
