Registration for August 8 auditions is now open. This is an opportunity for students new to MYS to audition for placement in one of our five orchestras for the upcoming season.

Registration Steps

  1. Click the “Register” button below to begin the registration process. (Registration is now closed; please submit an interest form below.)

  2. Students unavailable on the designated audition date should still register; we will contact you to schedule an alternate audition date.

  3. After registering, you will be directed to pay the non-refundable $60 audition fee. If you have a pop-up blocker, or the payment page does not load, click here.

  4. After registering for an audition, you will receive a confirmation email. Registration is complete after both the registration form and audition fee are received.

  5. If you request a recorded audition (offered for new Wind and String Orchestra students only), additional instructions will be emailed.

  6. Your specific audition date and time will be assigned after your payment is received.

Registration Timeline

  • February 27: Audition registration opens for the 2026–27 season

  • April 19: Last day to receive early-bird registration discount

  • June 12–13: Season audition days

  • July 31: Last day to request audition time change without $15 change fee (for August auditions)

  • August 7: Recordings are due (if eligible to submit recorded video audition)

  • August 8: Audition date for new students
