OPEN HOUSE MONTH

Open House Dates 2026-27

MYS will hold three Open House rehearsals in March 2027.

Woodwind, brass, percussion, and string students in grades 5–11 (or Suzuki book 2 or higher) are invited to observe or play-along in with one of our orchestras.

We accept all orchestral instruments including auxiliary instruments such as piano, harp, bass clarinet, English horn, and piccolo. If you play saxophone, euphonium, guitar, drum set, or other non-orchestral instruments, you are welcome to join us, ask questions, and observe rehearsals but there is no opportunity to play along.

Activities

  • Play along in a rehearsal with one of the MYS ensembles (music will be emailed ahead of time)

  • Observe rehearsal of one (or more) of the MYS ensembles

  • Meet current MYS students

  • Speak with an MYS conductor and staff members

Pre-registration is required. There is no fee to attend.
