Orchestra Retreat Day
Students will participate in an extended retreat day on October 10 consisting of rehearsals, sectionals, sightreading, and social activities. MYS will provide the meal(s). Students must arrange their own transportation to the retreat.

Finalists Recital
This free recital will showcase outstanding soloists from the MYS Symphony Orchestra who were selected as non-winner finalists in the two-round Symphony Solo Competition.

Mid-Season Auditions
Registration is now open! This is an opportunity for students new to MYS to audition for placement in one of our five orchestras or a chamber ensemble for the second trimester. Auditions for all orchestras will be held in-person, with an option to audition by video recording for Wind or String Orchestra or Chamber Ensemble. Alternate dates are available.

MYS has three full orchestras, a wind and string orchestra, and chamber ensembles.

Members can access weekly updates, rehearsal notes, and other resources.

MYS musicians travel from over 75 cities across the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota, and Western Wisconsin. Students travel from all directions, united by a shared passion for music and a commitment to making something meaningful together.
