Barber

  • Strings practice opening with metromone. There are still people who aren’t playing the correct rhythms.

  • Flute practice reh. E

Wagner

  • Brass: All moments like m. 90 for pitch, time and clarity

  • Violins and strings: practice any and all triplets

  • Cellos: work on Bs opening

December 13

Barber

  • Strings: practice opening with good tome and metronome dotted-quarter = 40

  • Flutes: keep working on 5 m. after C and E

  • Cellos: keep pushing sound out at E

  • Horns: check rhythm at F

December 6

Wagner

  • Practice the ending for pitch

  • Practice the ending with a metronome: half note = 160 or whole note = 80

  • We will focus on the ending in the next rehearsal!

Barber

  • Flute and clarinet: practice 5 after C

  • Cello: 7 after C; E needs to be extremely confident

November 22

Wagner

  • Strings: practice all passages with triplets

  • Brass: work on intonation

Barber

  • Flutes & Violas: pitch and flow at letter E

  • Strings: piano opening needs to have more beautiful tone with clarity of pitch

  • Strings: start woodshedding fast passages. Metronome is your best friend.
